Link in bio for Instagram
Instagram gives you one clickable link on your profile. That is why people write "link in bio" under a post instead of dropping a URL in the caption, where it would not be tappable. This page explains what that link is, how to add it, and what you can put behind it.
What does link in bio mean?
Captions and comments on Instagram are plain text. A URL you type there stays text, so nobody can tap it. The link field on your profile is different: it is clickable for everyone who visits. "Link in bio" is shorthand for "the thing I am talking about is behind that link on my profile."
Instagram now lets you add more than one link, but the space is still small and the list is buried. Most people point that field at a single page that holds everything else.
How to add a link in bio on Instagram
- 1Open Instagram and tap your profile picture, then tap Edit profile.
- 2Tap the Links field, then Add external link.
- 3Paste your peeps.bio address and give it a label people understand, like "all my links".
- 4Save. The link now sits under your bio and works from every post where you say link in bio.
The same address works in your TikTok, X and YouTube bios, so you only maintain one page.
What Peeps puts behind that link
Your socials in one place
Add Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and the rest once. Visitors tap straight through to the account they came for.
Music and photos
Your Spotify tracks and your photos sit on the same page, so people get a sense of you before they follow.
People, not just links
Peeps also shows you people nearby who share your interests, which a plain link page cannot do.
Events near you
Join events happening in your city and turn a follow into meeting someone in person.
Is a link in bio page worth it for a small account?
It helps whenever you have more than one thing to send people to. If your Instagram is your only account and you sell nothing, the profile link matters less. If you also post on TikTok, share music, or want people to reach you without a follower count in the way, one page saves you from rewriting your bio every time something changes.
